Last flight of Qantas Boeing 747-300

These old birds will be retired at this rate on 26th December 2008. They have been in service since the early 1980's, and were a workhorse for Qantas International until the arrival of the 747-400. They have currently been running services to Perth from east coast cities, and have before then (in recent times) been running through to Hawaii and South East Asia. I was lucky enough to travel on a -300 when coming home from Perth, lovely old birds. I believe VH-EBX has now left for Storage in Arizona.

They are nice looking jets indeed, it will be sad to see them leave our skys
