Route 312 was an intertown service that initially operated between Spence and Theodore, via Evatt, McKellar, Belconnen, City, Woden, Tuggeranong, Monash, Isabella Plains, and Calwell. The southern end of the route was truncated to Tuggeranong Interchange from June 2008.

Notes

• The route was initially proposed to operate as Route 112 and be introduced in July 1998. Network 1998's commencement was subsequently delayed until January 1999, and the route was renumbered to 312.
• It was supplemented by Route 12 (1999).
• The route was modified to travel via Ashkanasy St in Evatt (instead of Clancy St and Copland Dr) in September 2000.
• In April 2005, Route 312 ceased operating at nights and on weekends, replaced by Route 902 (2005), Route 912 (2005), and Route 915 (2005),
• In June 2008, the route was amended to terminate at Tuggeranong Interchange, with the southern leg of the service replaced by Route 11 (2008) and Route 111 (2008).
• In February 2009, the route was altered through Belconnen Town Centre, due to the closure of Belconnen Busway.
• In May 2009, the route was altered through Belconnen Town Centre, due to the closure of Belconnen Interchange.
• In November 2010, the route was altered through Belconnen Town Centre to service the new Belconnen Community Bus Station and Westfield Bus Station.
• The route was modified in March 2013 to travel via Rimmer and Kingsley Streets (ANU).
• Route 312 was discontinued in September 2014. The Belconnen to Spence portion continued to operate (see Route 012 (1999)).
