- The route may have initially operated directly along Hindmarsh from Callam St to Carbeen St (based on directions listed on the May 1978 timetable, which lists the timing point for Weston Group Centre as Hindmarsh Dr). The December 1978 timetable specifies that it operates via Parkinson and Brierly Sts.
- Evening outbound services were provided by Route 281 (1980) from November 1980 to early 1981, and Route 292 (1980)
- From October 1981, Saturday afternoon and Sunday services were provided by Route 264 (1981).
- From July 1988 to May 1996, weekend services were provided by Route 270 (1988) and Route 271 (1988)
