Sir Pompously

Here are some photos from my recent trip to Sydney, where with some Railpage members travelled to the South Coast and the Hunter Valley.

Hunter Valley

CityRail Hunter Railcar 2755 is seen at Victoria Street

CityRail Hunter Railcar 2757 is seen approaching East Maitland while Refurbished Endeavour set 2801/2851 is seen approaching from the other side

Refurbished CityRail Railcar Endeavour 2801 is seen at Waratah. This car, even though fresh from refurbishment, is still the load, slow Endeavour the South Coast and Southern Highlands are used to. The toilets have already been damaged, and the pneumatic doors that lead to the vestuble are already broken. The seating, however, is a nice change with the new and fresh reversable OSCAR/Hunter seating.

QR National units 5005/5009 are seen at Sandgate on a loaded coal train

Brand new Pacific National Unit 9211 is seen at Thornton with three 81's in the shaft

An empty coal train races a loaded coal train at Waratah

Silverton C505 and a 421s class are seen on a Pipe Train at Waratah

South Coast

CityRail OSCAR H24 is seen entering Bald Hill Tunnel

CityRail OSCAR H10 is seen having just exited Bald Hill Tunnel

Pacific National 8231 and Sister Units is seen at Bald Hill Tunnel

Pacific National 8166 and a fellow 81 unit are seen passing through Thirroul
