- The route provided a loop of the City on weekdays during the off-peak.
- the September 1979 timetable refers to a free service operating between 11am and 3pm.
- the November 1980 timetable refers to a free service, every ten minutes from 11am to midday, every five minutes from midday to 2pm, and every ten minutes from 2pm to 3pm.
- By September 1985, it operated every five minutes between midday and 2pm. Fares cost 20c.
- The 1988 Bus Book advises that the route was suspended indefinitely due to construction on Bunda St.
- The service was later revived as Route 301 (1991)
- It was branded as 'The Pennant' in 1976-77, with a pennant affixed to buses operating the route.
