Royale Coach today [5 September 2011] commenced operating a shuttle service from Canberra’s CBD to the Canberra Airport, after Deanes Transit Group ceased operating its Airliner service last week.
For a flat fare of $10 one way or $20 return, commuters can access one of ten services in each direction on weekdays, or six services in each direction on weekends. The services travel to West Row in the City, via Russell.
Tickets can be pre-booked by calling 1300 368 987, visiting www.royalecoach.com.au or purchased on-board from the driver.
The 2009 Canberra Airport master plan stated that the airport was hopeful that ACTION services to Brindabella Park would also operate to the airport terminal, however there has yet to be any indication of whether this will ever occur.
Deanes recently thanked its regular commuters for their ongoing support of the service.
