ACTION bus drivers will leave their fashion sense to one side when they sport a Hawaiian shirt to raise awareness of ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group’s Hawaiian Shirt Day on Friday 2 December 2011.

“Across Canberra, ACTION bus drivers will proudly wear a Hawaiian shirt to support families who have a member undergoing treatment for cancer and we are encouraging commuters to do the same,” said James Roncon, Director of ACTION.
“ACTION is very proud to support the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group. We hope that the splash of colour on Canberra’s buses will help raise awareness of the emotional and financial support they provide to families in the community.”

“We are encouraging all Canberrans to get involved and wear a Hawaiian shirt, make a gold coin donation, and purchase a Hawaiian Shirt Day badge to raise awareness and show you care.”

Hawaiian Shirt Day badges are available at Capital Chemists and Westpac banks for $4. For more information on Hawaiian Shirt Day please visit www.actemcsg.org.au
