- Bus 256 was the first of 70 Leyland Nationals delivered between 1974 and 1975
- It was the second Leyland National to enter service in Australia - following C94763, the Leyland demonstrator bus.
- After leaving ACTION it operated for South West Coach Lines/Bunbury City Transit, WA (Fleet Number 99 / TC2099). It was sold in 2004.
