The GMC 400 ran in Canberra in 2000, 2001 and 2002. The track was on streets in the area known as the Parliamentary Triangle. In it’s final year, the race was known as the Canberra 400 after GMC declined to continue sponsorship of the event.
For the GMC 400 V8 Super Car Race, ACTION ran the following special services.
936 London Cct, Constitution Av, Commonwealth Av, Parliament Dr, Commonwealth Ave, London Cct
937 Russell – Parkes Place East
938 Belconnen Interchange – City Interchange – Albert Hall
939 Woden Interchange – Albert Hall
Route 936 operated on a ten minute frequency between 7am-10am and 3pm-6pm
For several years, Bus 798 was in an AOA for the GMC 400. Unfortunately we do not have any photos of this AOA, but if you have one, please let us know!
