Notes

  • Route 16 was not featured in the initial Network 1998 proposal. Instead, Route 116 was proposed to operate per Route 16 from Kippax to Belconnen, continuing to City, Woden, and Tuggeranong Interchanges on weekdays. In the final network, Route 16 performed the Kippax to Belconnen leg, Route 116 continued to Woden, and Route 316 continued to Tuggeranong.
  • Extensions of Route 16 operated to:
  • The route initially operated early mornings and evenings, and on Sundays, with daytime services operating as Route 116 (1999).
  • In 2005-06, evening services operated as Route 943 (2005)
  • From 2006, evening/weekend services operated as Route 903 (2006) and Route 906 (2006)
  • While initially proposed to return to seven-day operation under Network 2008, it ultimately operated on weekdays only.
  • The route was modified through Belconnen Town Centre in May 2009 to service the temporary bus stations following the closure of Belconnen Interchange, and in November 2010 to service the permanent bus stations.
  • In September 2014, the route was extended to terminate on Emu Bank at Lake Ginninderra College, and commence at the last stop on Eastern Valley Way before Emu Bank.
