- The route was initially planned for introduction in July 1998, however Network 1998's commencement was subsequently delayed until January 1999.
- Evening and weekend services were provided by Route 033 (1999) and Route 042 (1999).
- The route was modified in September 2000 to service Duntroon.
- The route was modified in April 2005 to no longer operate via Bunda and Petrie Streets.
- From December 2006, the route extended to Campbell Park in peak periods only.
- Selected services operated Belconnen to City, or City to Campbell Park only.
