Route 51 was a feeder service between Belconnen and Gungahlin (and for a period, to the City) via Gungahlin suburbs.

Notes

• Selected services commenced at Federation Square.
• The route was extended through Amaroo and Ngunnawal in September 1999.
• The route was modified in September 2000 to no longer service Amaroo and Palmerston, with a changed route through Gungahlin Town Centre.
• The route through Nicholls, Gungahlin, and Braddon was modified in November 2003
• From April 2005, weekend services operated between Gungahlin and Belconnen only, and evening services were provided by Route 050 (2005), Route 955 (2005) and Route 956 (2005).
• The route was re-designed through Nicholls and Ngunnawal in June 2008, and only operating to the City during peak. Weekend services were provided by Route 951 (2008), Route 952 (2008), Route 956 (2008), and Route 958 (2008)
• The route was modified in Belconnen Town Centre in May 2009 to service the temporary bus stations following the closure of Belconnen Interchange, and in November 2010 to service the permanent bus stations.
• The route was extended through Casey in May 2012.
• The route was modified through Nicholls, Casey, and Ngunnawal in September 2014.
• The route was modified through Ngunnawal in May 2015
• The route was modified through Gungahlin Town Centre between October and December 2015 due to works on Hibberson St.
• The route was modified to terminate/commence at Gozzard St in April 2017 due to the closure of Hibberson St. Southbound services reverted to Hibberson St in October 2017, and back to Gozzard St in March 2018.
• The route was diverted via Camilleri Way from September 2018 due to light rail construction.
