ZIB-251 was a Volvo B58-56 which entered service in November 1974, and was withdrawn from service in 1990.

Unlike the other 75 Volvo B58s purchased by ACTION, 251 was built with a coach body, by Smithfield Bus & Coach Works, Sydney.

Bus 251 could be considered as ACTION Royalty, given that the (then) Prince and Princess of Wales, travelled on it during their visit in 1985.

This vehicle’s primary purpose was for long-distance charter services, but it also operated sightseeing services.

It was fitted with a Kiki air-conditioning unit underneath the saloon floor powered by a separate Isuzu diesel motor.

Since leaving the ACTION Fleet it operated for Snowy Mountain Scheme Tours (Registration TV1372) and was later converted into a Mobile Home.
