Featured Bus – Bus 310 (Irisbus Agora Line)

The Featured Bus for March 2012 is Bus 310 – an Irisbus Agora Line

Bus 310 was an Irisbus Agora Line with a Custom Coaches “CB60” body, which entered regular service with ACTION on 2 February 2004.

Although numerically the eleventh member of the Agora Line fleet, it was actually the first to operate in Canberra – in 2003 it briefly operated as an evaluation bus using registration Bus 175 and carrying the Bell Street (Victoria) Livery.

The Irisbus Agora Line buses were the first CB60 bodies operated by ACTION and the first buses to feature the Green/White/Orange livery. They were also the only full-length buses in the ACTION fleet without a centre or rear door during their tenure.

All 20 Irisbus Agora Lines operated by ACTION were part of a cancelled order from King Bros (Northern NSW) and were built in 2002-2003. Prior to commencing service with ACTION, they were modified by Custom Coaches to fit a luggage rack at the front and to replace the pink-coloured stanchions with stainless steel.

Bus 310 was withdrawn from service in August 2025.
