Bus 735 was a Natural Gas-powered MAN SL202.
The bus was built by Ansair in 1991. Internally it was similar to ACTION’s Renault PR100.2 vehicles which were built at the same time.
It was intended to be part of ACTION’s bus evaluation program of the early 1990’s, operating alongside trial vehicles from Leyland, Scania, Mercedes-Benz and a diesel-powered MAN SL202. However the order for this vehicle was cancelled and it instead became a demonstrator vehicle for MAN Australia.
During 1992, Bus 735 was loaned to ACTION for a six week trial, with Natural Gas donated by AGL.
This vehicle is known to have also operated at Bathurst Coaches, NSW and Highway Hiker, Murray Bridge SA.
