The Featured Bus for July/August 2016 is Bus 490 – a Scania K280UB
Bus 490 was a Scania K280UB (Euro V) with a Custom CB80 body, which operated for ACTION between February and June 2016.
It was leased from Scania Australia as a short-term replacement for Bus 300 which was withdrawn from service after an engine-bay fire in August 2015.
The bus was built for Scania as a demonstrator vehicle in 2014 and features the Transport NSW livery. For its stay at ACTION, it was fitted with a Sportworks DL2 bike rack and the front of the bus was painted into ACTION’s colours.
