City West is located off Marcus Clarke St between University Ave and Allsop St.
It started life solely as a bus layover when the former City layover was closed to enable the Jolimont Centre to be constructed.
In 1997, City West was modified to add two bus departure platforms for use by peak-period Commuter Express services.
As well as peak-period services, Qcity Transit services commence here and ACTION route services to City Bus Station service this stop seven days a week.
