Ticket Vending Machines which have been installed at four Canberra bus stations are now operational.
At the beginning of each year Transport Canberra revises its fares in line with inflation. Consistent with previous years, new public transport fares will take effect from Saturday 5 January 2019.
MyWay, ACT’s new smartcard bus ticketing system, commenced on Monday 21 February 2011 when ACT Seniors Card-holders were given the first opportunity to utilise the system. The remainder of the community started using the system from Monday 7 March 2011
To assist patrons become more accustomed with the process of tagging on and off buses with their MyWay card, the ACT Government will extend the current transition period where default fares do not apply until 31 December 2011, Paul Peters, Executive Director, Roads and Public Transport, announced today.
